How to Participate

To be eligible for judging and prizes, all participants must register in advance through the official Surfside Beach Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade Registration Form. Registration closes at noon on Friday, May 23, 2025.

On the day of the parade, check-in will be at the Keep Surfside Beach Beautiful Committee table located at the corner of Dogwood Drive North and 14th Avenue North. Ensure your assigned number is clearly displayed on the right side of your golf cart for the judges’ visibility. Judging will take place along the parade route at Neal & Pam’s

Parade Highlights

Participants are encouraged to decorate their golf carts in patriotic themes, showcasing red, white, and blue colors, flags, and other creative elements. The “Best Decorated Cart” contest adds a competitive edge, with winners announced by Mayor Krouse following the parade. The event is family-friendly, and gently thrown candy is encouraged to delight the children along the route.

  • Road Closures: Ocean Boulevard will be closed from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the parade. Intersections along Ocean Boulevard will reopen as the parade progresses.

Participation Requirements: Each golf cart must have a licensed driver aged 18 or older. Carts should be operated safely and responsibly. Alcohol is prohibited, and carts must adhere to South Carolina’s Code of Law when operating outside the parade route. Decorations should be in good taste and family-friendly, with no political banners or signs allowed.
